To help you to begin to discover what Scotland has to offer, we have formulated a ten day itinerary for your perusal. Day 1, Free collection from Glasgow or Edinburgh International Airports, and make our way to the Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond, immortalised in song and verse and often described as the Queen of Scottish Lochs. Here to is Scotland's First National Park, which leads us to perhaps Scotland's best kept secret the area of Argyll and Bute, with rugged mountains and scenic lochs, such as loch long, loch fyne and loch eck which takes us into the town of Dunoon for our first overnight stop at our hotel.Day 2, After a full breakfast we proceed to the town of Inverary and visit the Duke of Argyll's castle, for a tour of this splendid architectural wonder, we can if you so wish visit Inverary Jail, where you can witness the ways of dealing with criminals in court, and how the conditions were in Jail hundreds of years ago. On our return to Dunoon, we will visit Benmore Botanical Gardens, where plants and trees from all around the world can be admired. We return to our hotel in time for evening dinner.Day 3, After a full Scottish breakfast, we leave Dunoon behind and make our way to Perthshire and visit the beautiful town of Pitlochry, reputed to be the centre of Scotland, and also the winner of the town in bloom for many years. We also visit the smallest Distillery in Scotland and be provided with a little sample of their end product. We then visit the ancient capital town of Dunkeld and see the splendour of the Cathedral and marvel at the famous River Tay with Salmon in abundance, from there we go to the famous Fortingall yew tree, reputed to be five thousand years old and also the birthplace of Pontius Pilate. We return to our Pitlochry Hotel in time for evening dinner.Day 4, After breakfast we head north to the Isle of Skye, passing magnificent scenery along the way, and stop at Spean Bridge for lunch and maybe some retail therapy at the woollen mill. We then stop at the commando memorial, where they trained before going to fight in the second world war. Our next stop is at the Eilean Donan Castle, probably the most photographed castle in the world and then onto the Isle of Skye, for our two night stay at our hotel.Day 5, After breakfast we proceed to do a tour of the island, stopping at Portree, the islands main town, and then continue on a circular tour stopping at smugglers cove, and marvel at the famous Cuillin Mountains and surrounding islands, we also visit castle ruins along the way. If time permits we will visit the tiny village of Elghol. Return to our hotel in time for evening dinner.Day 6, After breakfast we head for the Inverness area, and stop off at Loch Ness and maybe look for the Monster, and then continue to Culloden Battlefield, where Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated by the dreaded English in the year 1745, from their we continue to the Clava Cairns site and wonder why this was built, and then to our hotel in the town of Nairn.Day 7, After breakfast we visit Cawdor Castle and continue to Findhorn Foundation and gardens and then on to The spectacular Pitmedden Gardens, and make our way to Kirrimuir for our overnight stop.Day 8, After breakfast we go South and make our way to Braveheart Country and visit The Bannockburn Heritage Centre, and see where King Robert The Bruce defeated the English in the year 1314, from their we proceed to visit the famous Stirling Castle and you will receive a guided tour and learn all about Scottish history with the excellent tour guides, and then to our hotel in Alloa.Day 9, After breakfast we will visit Wallace's Monument, which commemorates perhaps Scotland's greatest National Hero, Sir William Wallace, whose greatest victory against the English was at the battle of Stirling Bridge in the year 1297. From their we continue to the famous town of St Andrew's and marvel at the town's ancient history and the abundance of Golf Courses and Cathedrals, and maybe spot Prince William attending St Andrew's University. We return to our Alloa Hotel in time for evening dinner.Day 10, After breakfast we make our way to Glasgow, and on the way we will visit Dunfermline Abby and the Forth Railway Bridge and cross over the road bridge and spend some time in the small village of South Queensferry, before making our way to your Airport Hotel, and evening dinner, bed and breakfast, before your flight home.During Your tour, you will be staying in quality hotels, and be provided with dinner, bed and breakfast every day, you are also provided with an eight seater Luxury people carrier, with your own personal driver/tour guide.
